Wall
Heath Pumas 1 Halas 0
The U10s West were up against an undefeated Wall Heath team and got
off to a good start creating a number of chances but failing to
score. The second half started much the same with chances for
both teams and goal line clearances by the Wall Heath defenders
keeping Halas at bay. With the game looking to go to extra time
Wall Heath scrambled in a late goal to give them a 1-0 win.
Ashmore Park 1 Halas Hawks West 2
The U11s West progressed to the next round of the South Staffs
Cup with a fine win over Ashmore Park, their previously unbeaten
opponents. Halas stormed into an early two goal lead, with a
wonderful free kick from Matt Jones and one from top scorer
Cameron Milne, who notched his nineteenth of the season. Ashmore
pulled one back from a rebounded penalty, goalie Jack Evans
making a fine save from the original kick. Halas were worthy
winners and their all round team spirit and effort was rewarded
with an excellent 2-1 victory.
Halas Dynamos 4 Colron Boys 0
The U11s Dynamos advanced into the last 16 of the South Staffs
cup and in the process registered nine games undefeated. It was
a solid performance from the players against a strong Colron
Boys team who don’t lose very often. Dalmar Morrison and man of
the match Jake Saxton notched two excellent goals each in a 4-0
win.
Halas Hawks 16 West Hagley 0
An entertaining match whereby the U14s produced a fantastic
performance with six goals from Steve Barrett, a hat trick from
Lewis Hatfield, and one each for Alex Theodosi, Danny Hodges,
Daniel Scarrett, Daniel Round, Luke Patton and two goals by the
goalkeeper and man of the match James Andrews
Hasbury Rangers 2
Halas Hawks 5
The U16s visited Hasbury in the Cup and found their rhythm very
quickly, going into an early lead scored by Ryan Howard. New
signing, Mark Perry then scored his debut goal followed very
quickly by a second goal for Howard. Hasbury never gave up the
chase and were rewarded for their hard work pulling a goal back
before half time. In the second half, Hasbury made it difficult
for Halas but goals from Tom Evans and Callum Ashton made the
game safe with a 5-2 score line. Man of the match went to Edward
Leeson.
Girls League
Halas Hawks 5 Kewford
Eagles 0
Halas controlled this U11s league match against Kewford from the
start, with Lucy Heaselgrave (2), Sophie Heaselgrave, Francesca
Hancox and Chloe Gregg scoring in their five nil win.
Worcester City 5
Halas Hawks 2
The U14s went two up at Worcester City courtesy of Megan Ingram,
the first being a great volley off a cross from Liz McAleenan.
But a very heavy pitch did the Halas passing game no favours at
all and Worcester adapted better to the conditions and ran out
5-2 winners. Player of the match was Elizabeth McAleenan.
Pansnett 0 Halas Hawks 3
The U16s made hard work of their cup game against Pensnett but
ended the first half 3-0 up with goals from Laura Tomlinson (2)
and Tash Berry. In the second half, neither vteam found the net
and the final score was 3-0.
Halas Hawks Ladies 12 University of Warwick 0
Halas Ladies took advantage of an under strength Warwick
University team to earn a much needed victory, in difficult
conditions. Warwick held firm for the opening 20 minutes, before
Halas made their possession count, going into the break 3 - 0
up. Halas continued to apply pressure in the second half,
scoring a further nine goals without reply. Kirsty Houston and
Olivia Emerson grabbed a hat trick each, with Hannah Bennett,
Katie Monk and Lydia Bradley each securing a brace. Louise
Franklin, Vicky Warren and Gaby Walley held firm at the back,
putting in sound defensive performances. |
