League
Black Country Rgrs 2 Halas Hawks West 6.
The U9s West took control of the game against Black Country
Rangers right from the start with two early goals from Matthew
Cole and Josh Beasley. An impressive first half performance and
further goals from Josh Beasley and Jamie Stanton, gave Halas a
well deserved 4-0 half time lead. However, as Halas pushed for
more goals early in the second half, Black Country came back into
the game and pulled two back. However, Halas held out well with
some strong defending from Lewis Grinham and Adam Banks. George
Shingleton got two further goals mid way through the second half
to give Halas an impressive 6-2 victory.
Bilbrook 1 Halas Hawks 6
It was an entertaining U14s game against a strong Bilbrook team
who were a goal up at half time. However a fine gutsy second half
performance from Halas brought some fine goals, one each for Rhys
Edwards and Dominic Potter, and four from Lewis Hatfield, making
the final score 6-1 to Halas. Man of the match was Dan Round.
