Friendlies
Halas U8s East travelled to
Forest Falcons for an early kick off, a good solid performance
followed with goals coming from Morgan Rogers 1 and Charlie
Greening 2. Man of the Match went to Keeper Josh Smith after yet
another solid performance with one stunning save which he tipped
over the bar from a shot that was heading for the top corner.
Boys League
Netherton 0 Halas
Dynamos 0
Halas Hawks U11s
Dynamos produced a tremendous display to end league leaders
Netherton Colts 100% record and become the first team to stop
them from scoring this season. It was a brilliant effort from
two very good sides and a draw was a fair result on the day with
chances at both ends at a premium. The man of the match award
went to the whole team.
Halas
Hawks 3 Sedgley 3
The U11s West
gained a valuable point in a hard fought 3-3 draw with Sedgley
White Lions. Both teams created enough chances to have won the
game, but a draw was the right result. Halas were again
committed and full of running and fully deserved the point. The
goals were scored by Cameron Milne, Aaron Leddington and Alex
Goode.
Penn
2 Halas Hawks 3
The U12s were
twice behind at Penn Colts, but came back to equalize with goals
from Sam Hamilton and man of the match Kane Griffiths-York. With
the match poised to go either way, it was Dominic Hipkiss who
scored the winner to make the final score 3-2.
West
Hagley 2
Halas Hawks 3
The
U13s made it three wins out of three with a comfortable 4-2
victory over West Hagley. Josh Ezewele was the star of the show
with a well taken hat trick. The other goal came courtesy of Dan
Willets.
Girls
League
Halas Hawks 2
Kewford 0
A superb all round
team performance took the U10s girls into the League Cup final
with a 2-0 win over Kewford. Scorers were Chloe Adderley and
Billie Jo Handy.
Halas
Hawks 1 Kewford 1
Despite not
playing at their most fluent, Halas went one up in this U11s Cup
semi final against Kewford through Sophie Heaselgrave, following
an excellent cross from her sister Lucy. Both sides created
chances before Kewford drew level in the second half. Extra time
saw no further scoring, resulting in a penalty shoot-out, which
Kewford won with some deadly finishing.
Kidderminster 2
Halas Hawks 1
A great display
from the U14 girls saw them take the game to a Kidderminster
side who are challenging for the league title. Halas stamped
their authority on the game from the first whistle and
deservedly went into the lead with a headed goal from Elizabeth
McAleenan. However, Kidderminster fought back to take a 2-1 lead
at half time. The second half was frantic end to end stuff but
Halas were unable to find the equalizer they deserved. Player of
the match was Olivia Woollams.
Redditch
1 Halas Hawks Ladies 0
Halas Hawks Ladies
traveled to Redditch in the cup to take on a team in a higher
division and were unlucky to lose by the only goal of the game.
In an excellent match, it was difficult to see which team was in
the higher division and Halas were unlucky not to find an
equalizer. |
