Gornal 3
Halas Hawks U12
girls returned to form with a 6-3 victory over Gornal. The
teams were evenly matched but Halas, quicker on the break, were
able to take a four goal advantage into half time. Gornal came
back fighting but Halas Bagged another two to make sure of the
result. Goals came from a double hat trick Amy Blakemore and
Megan Hipkiss.
Withymoor
2 Halas Hawks 3
Another great game for the U13s with Alison Dowen opening the
scoring against Withymoor with a well taken goal and Charis
Maguire scoring a second before the half time whistle. Withymoor
pulled two goals back during the second half, but Sam King
scored a third for Halas to make the final score 3-2. Summer
Archer and Hannah Williams were outstanding in defence in a
closely fought game.
Halas
Hawks 3 Ferndale Youth 0
A much improved
performance from the U14s this week saw Halas take all three
points in this end to end confrontation with Ferndale. But the
game was settled with a strike in each half from Megan Ingram,
and a third from Rhianne Murray. Goalkeeper, Kate Duffy, kept a
very pleasing clean sheet and also got a well deserved player of
the match.
Ladies
Utd 0 Halas Hawks Ladies 2
It was a close
encounter between Halas Ladies and Ladies Utd with the windy
conditions playing a significant part. Good debuts from Becky
Allsop and Lauren Pearson spurred the team on to a 2-0 victory
with goals from Katie Monk and Lydia Bradley.

Halas Hawks West
0 Old Wulfrunians 1
The U11s West
were unlucky not to come away with something out of a very tight
and well contested game against Old Wulfrunians. Both teams
played football and battled for everything but it was
Wulfrunians who scored the only goal of the game.
