Santiago Colts 1 Halas Hawks 13
Halas
Hawks U11s Girls began their league campaign in style with a
comfortable 13-1 win over Santiago Colts. Goals came from Bethan
Bryan (4), Lucy Heaselgrave (3), Sophie Heaselgrave (2), Amy
Plimmer, Abigail Gennard, Louise Tromans and a thunderbolt from
Esme Moran.
Tipton
Girls 1 Halas Hawks 5
The U12s opened the scoring early against Tipton, despite being
a player short, followed three minutes later by a second. Tipton
were able to pull one back before half time but were unable to
further penetrate the strong Halas defence. Halas were able to
extend their lead by a further three goals from Amy Blakemore
(5). There was an impressive debut for Keziah Allard in defence.

Hawks 17 Smethwick United 3
A fine
start to the season from the U13s against Smethwick Utd with
the introduction of four new players. Sam King and Alison Dowen
scored three and five goals respectively. Elisha Rose and Jess
Morton scored an additional 4 goals each, with Paige Dudley also
scoring giving Halas a 17-3 win.

Hawks 1 Droitwich Spa Lions 1
In
the first half the U14s battled evenly with Droitwich Spa Lions
but unfortunately, due to a mix up, went down to a goal just
before half time . The second half however was all one way as
Halas attacked relentlessly and from one of these a well
deserved equalizer came from Lauren Taylor. Player of the match
was Kate Drew who did not put a foot wrong at the back.
Boys league
Halas Hawks
West 3 Black Country Rangers 2
The U9s West earned a hard fought win against Black Country
Rangers being twice in front with goals from Josh Sharp and Josh
Beasley only to be pegged back on both occasions. However a fine
solo effort from Josh Parsons sealed the win with virtually the
last kick of the game.
Netherton 2 Halas 2
The U10s East were unlucky not to come away with the three
points against Netherton. Two early goals from Matt Hancox
ensured Halas kept hold of a much deserved lead but Netherton
scored with the last kick of the game against the run of play to
share the points. Man of the match went to Harry Rose who was
making his debut in goal
Bearwood
Sports 3 Halas Hawks West 1
The U11s West were on top for most of the first half against
Bearwood Sports, but failed to take the chances they created.
The second half again saw Halas miss chances with only a Matt
Jones penalty to show for their effort in a 3-1 defeat.

Dynamos 1 Netherton 5
The first game of the season saw a very big ask for the U11s
Dynamos against a very strong Netherton Colts. It was Halas who
settled the quickest though with a well taken goal from Reece
Colley. Halas then scored an own goal and a sloppy backpass
which saw them go 2-1 down. Netherton then added three more to
make the final score 5-1. Man of the match was Anthony Cowdell
for a great performance between the sticks.

Hawks 1 Warley 2
The
U12s found themselves two down against Warley but kept plugging
away and deserved their consolation goal scored by Connor Leak.
Man of the match went to Kamran Qureshi.
Oldbury Park 1 Halas Hawks 0
The U15s travelled to Oldbury Park where they went down 1-0.

Hawks 3 Wordsley Wasps East 3
The
U16s started very brightly against Wordsley opening the scoring
early with an individual goal from Amin Ali. This was soon
followed by a brace from Ben Hancox making the half time score
3-0 to Halas. In the second half Halas sat back and soon paid
the price for some sloppy play conceding two goals before
Wordsley levelled the score from the spot. Man of the match was
awarded to Jamie Hewitt for an outstanding display at right
back.
